When Animals Attack
03:14
|
|||
soft then sharp
Often smart
when animals attack
they will steal your heart
then rip you apart
Dateline: 1958. A marine vessile leaves sascatchawan and hits a rock. The ship slowly is overtaken by the ocean. Survivers clench their life vests tightly, holding all hopes for a rescue. As they wait for that rescue, sharks begin to pick them off one by one
Dateline: two thousand and twelve. A rouge baboon sneaks into a small village in north western africa at night. Under of the cover of darkness, the babboon scavenges for food. Upon finding not even the smallest of scraps. He goes for the easiest prey he can find. Human babies.
Dateline: september fourth nineteen eighty. A large dog accidently bites a boys hand while being fed, scarring the boy for life.

Winter sets in, the prey's all gone
A tiger runs through a frosted feild
partched soil won't yearn for rain
Thirst is a concept we can't explain
Trees will grow towards the light
Though without the gift of sight
pond ripples. Turtle rises up to breathe
but then is nothing once again
startled by the slightest noise
the deer shys away
Scarcity of predators
but fear is here to stay
Straight as the crow flies
Into the mundane
There not our path lies
The beast shall rise again
the tiger can't comprehend what is still to come

Flacid Somethingness
03:55
|
|||
spiraling redundancy
develops into routine
Mental stagnation
coherent reluctance
designed to demean
gentle depredation
Compliance to judgments
smiling at the obscene
detrimental situation
abandoning reluctance
devoured by the machine
Central castration
something isn't something
When it doesn't deploy
Nature doesn't nurture
It's engineered to destroy
Usually things start small and then grow
but small has become the new plateau
dwarfism is this seasons new tall
So there's no reason to try at all
Obsolete prospects
Usefulness is a myth
Inflated credentials
It's an asinine process
that we are stuck with
Wasted potential
diminutive expansions
a great catalyst for
reckless abandon

The sun sets on yesterday
leaving behind it's warm embrace
memories of long lost days
will sink to putrid decay
Nostolgia for things past
Never getting a real chance
Questions not meant to ask
Nothing is meant to last
Time ticks quicker in hindsight
Though twice as long and half as bright
mind like diamond
cuts like a knife
left cold and frightened
but that's our life
Obsolescent Recollections
